Over the years I have managed to farm up a grand total of 66 Exalted reputations, some have been removed others I am still working on
*cough* silverwing sentinels *cough* . Through out the expansion packs of
Classic ,
Burning Crusade ,
Wrath of the Lich King ,
Cataclysm and
Mists of Pandaria you will encounter many reputations. A lot of the more recent reputations just involve doing dailies or farming creatures / items for reputation.
Daily Reputation Grinds
Takes a while but more dailies open up as you progress each rep stage (friendly, honored..)
Just starting on these, seem to be all right, rep gain is average.
- Order of the Cloud Serpent
There are dailies, dailies to do with you Secondary Proffesions (First aid, Cooking..) and you can farm Onyx Eggs which spot at loads of locations around the island (mostly mountain tops) for extra rep
I am currently working on, doing quests in Townlong Steppes to get started.
They have dailies and certain fished up items can be turned in to Nat Pagle.
I have not gone near yet, I don't like the real slow/constant rep grind in MoP.
They have dailies, as well as harvesting your crop on the farm. You can farm items in Soil Piles around The Heartland to reach Best Friend status with their citizens too.
Dailies can be done, more unlocked as you reach new rep stages. You can also trade in 5 Dread Amber Shards for extra rep.
Dailies in Tol Barad, I think winning a Tol Barad battle may also give you rep.
dailies once you unlock the faction through questlines in Deepholm.
Dailies unlocked after you complete a questline in Twilight Highlands.
Unlocked in the Storm Peaks, they have many dailies and can be reach to Exalted fast by turning in tokens purchased in Dalaran with Justice Points.
Dailies can be done in Dragonblight, takes a while to do but you get a nice epic quality fishing pole that provides water breathing!
Alliance rep at the Argent Tournament, they provide a mount, pet and tabard.
Just farm their dailies in Blade's Edge Mountain, takes a while and a lot of Pandaria rep is like these, were as Cataclysm & Wotlk had tabards for rep grinding.
Dailies are unlocked after a quest chain in Shadowmoon Valley, took me just under a week, like the Cloud Serpents you can farm eggs around the island and in the mine for extra rep.
Dailies are on the Isle of Quel Danas, I just ended up farming Magisters Terrace for rep and combining dailies. You can make a "small" donation of 1,000 gold to earn the title "of the Shattered Sun" once you reach Exalted.
Team Based Factions
Dailies are unlocked after a quest chain in Sholazar Basin. This faction is team based i.e. you can only choose one side of either Frenzyheart OR Oracles, but luckily you can change faction standing by repeating the last quest in the cave where you choose your side first.
Same as the Frenzyheart Tribe, they provide an egg that will eventually hatch giving pets, food and a small chance of a Green Proto Drake mount. It took me a while but then I got two drakes in a row... It may have its drop chance increased!
Difference between the 2 is not huge, The Scryers have more of a Horde based apparel and The Aldor are more Alliance based apparel.
- Bloodsail Buccaneers / Steamwheedle Cartel
Although it is possible to have both at exalted it is NOT recommended as its very long. These are parts of the requirements of Insane in the Membrane feat of strength.
- Gelkis Clan Centaur / Magram Clan Centaur
These have been removed, if you encountered them they remain in your faction tab just like The Zandalari or Shen'Dralar factions.
Ravenholdt is a rogue based camp in the Hillsbrad Foothills mountains, they are also required for
Insane in the Membrane .
Fast Grind Reputations
For a majority of other reputations it hand in items or grind raids / dungeons / battlegrounds such as
Molten Core or
Black Temple to reach exalted. Heroic dungeons and raids always provide more reputation than normal, raid reputation from trash stops once you reach revered and only boss kills will count from there to Exalted.
This has been greatly increased and is reward from almost and quest, daily and guild instance runs. Once you reach exalted you can purchase this Tabard that will increase the rep gain by 100% for the character wearing it.
You basically have to farm about 1,000 Arathi Basin's to get this, there are 1-2 quests that give a slight advance in rep gain, it took my a while to get but defending the lumbermill as protection with so many silences, interrupts, stuns and Glyph of the Falling Avenger to slow fall to the blacksmith it made it easier and entertaining to farm. Rep is given every 180 points, 120 at Call to Arms.
I'm working on this very slowly, rep is given every time you flag cap so as you can imagine it will be very long grind.
This was the easiest of the 3 by FAR! Due to the fact that alliance win about 80% of these and the rep gain is high + the quests in the battleground it makes it real easy to reach exalted. I done a lot of AV at level 60.
Working on this, quite fun and challenging but not too difficult. The wait time between fights is a bit of a drag though. You can join the club by bidding on the invitation on the Black Market Auction house or a lucky drop of the 3 new rares in Krasang Wilds.
Start these by completing all their quests, then proceed to farming the goblins at , this is alos a requirement for
Insane in the Membrane

Were their tabard and farm dungeons, a lot easier than when I done it at 60 where you had to seach for quests and turn in linen, silk, mageweave and runecloth for reputation.
Were their tabard and farm dungeons.
Were their tabard and farm dungeons. This was my faction as a Human so I started a head of all the other reputations, like every race does with their hometown faction.
Were their tabard and farm dungeons, again easier than during classic WoW.
Were their tabard and farm dungeons.
Were their tabard and farm dungeons, nice to be able to use their mounts now.
Were their tabard and farm dungeons.
Farm beads in Felwood off the furbolgs and in Winterspring.
This has now been changed from a rep grind of furbolgs to a daily that takes about a month to complete, I did this pre-daily quest patch and manage to get from Neutral to Exalted in a day.
Drops from Molten Core give rep with these guys, but has now been made extremely easier by questing in the Searing Gorge.
Farming mats in Diremaul is no longer needed as this reputation has been removed.
Farming Ahn Qiraj for reputation and turning in the tokens from each boss, they reward a nice epic ring for a level 60 back in the day which I still have lost in bank.
Farming adds in Silithius, although i think there are some quests in netherstorm? maybe that was just a dream after an insomniac rep farm...
Extremely easy now, when the DMF arrives once a month do their dailies and turn in all their tomes (quest items from battlegrounds, dungeons and raids).
Farm Molten Core, kill everything! Once you hit Revered you can only gain rep by killing bosses.
This faction was from the 20m Zul'gurub raid but was removed just before the release of Cataclysm and later brought back as a heroic dungeon for Level 85. Their island they inhabited still remains on the mos north east coast of Stranglethorn Vale.
Farm the dungeon Botanica or Mechanar.
Killing adds in Terokkar Forest at Skettis.
Farm Sethek Halls for rep, other Auchindon dungeons may also give rep but I reached exalt just from farming for Raven Lord mount.
Clearing Karazahn raid will give you rep, also rewarding you with a ring you can choose as you progress.
Can be farmed in the Mount Hyjal raid. Took me a few runs to get to exalted and can be quite a boring raid in general, last boss is an interestingly unique encounter though.
You can do all their quests listed here, then proceed to grinding mobs for insignias for extra rep in netherstorm.
Kill adds in Zangarmarsh such as the Bog Lord and Lurkers for rep, hunt for Glow caps and do their repeatable quests. Took be just over half a day to hit Exalted.
Farm for beads in Nagrand and killing the Ogres, this does take a while but is well worth it especially if you are a mount collector like I am. They give loads of mounts and nice tall ones too which is kinda rare for a ground mount in wow, you may also want to try farm horde for the 2 PvP ones, I manage to farm a few horde a few years back and have both the mounts, the armored one costs more tokens!
Farm the dungeons in The Caverns of Time such as the Black Morass or Old Hillsbrad Foothills. From my experience Black Morass gave more rep but was a bit slower in terms of adds spawning.
Farm the Underbog and those dungeons in the Steamvault for items you trade in for reputation. You can also do their quests for rep too.
Farming dungeons in Hellfire Citadel for rep and also doing their quests in Hellfire Ramparts.
The only thing you can do here is farm Black Temple for this rep.
gained while farming wotlk dungeons with no tabard on, atleast when I was 80 it did. You may also want to check quests in Howling Fjord too.
Same as above, farming dungeons with no reputation tabard equipped, try Howling Fjord for quests along the East & South East coast.
Same as above, they are all sub-factions.
Equip their tabard and try some quests in dalaran and Crystalsong Forest.
- Knights of the Ebon Blade
Complete quests out in Zul'Drak and equip their tabard for dungeon farming.
Farming Icecrown Citadel for reputation.
Some quests out in Dragonblight will reward rep with them, again you can equip their tabard and farm dungeons. They reward a red drake at exalted.
Complete quests in Uldum for rep, they provide the camel mounts at exalted.
Questing in Mount Hyjal, you can equip their tabard for faster rep gain in dungeons.
Farm the Firelands raid, Heroic offers more rep per boss kill (like all raids) and only gives rep on boss kills after revered.
he is part of the legendary quest line in Mist of Pandaria, you gain rep mostly from killing adds from your dailies around Pandaria. You can only gain reputation per stage of the legendary quest line, for example you can only get to honored until you reach stage 2, then revered until stage 3 and so on. If you play a rogue and were lucky enough to obtain the Legendary daggers in Cataclysm, you will have a head start on his rep grind.
I hope this was helpful and you get your desired factions to exalted and their rewards,
Skylíne
